Cedric The Entertainer will bring a wide range of experiences to the stage at the Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto Saturday night (October 26).
During our EXCLUSIVE interview, he told me that he’ll put his unique comedic spin on a variety of topics, including marriage, his kids, and being a relatively new grandfather, as well as his funny take on the ins and outs of being a Hollywood mainstay for the last couple of decades.
Maybe Cedric will even talk a little about his next film, The Son Of The South, in which he will deliver a dramatic performance. In that upcoming project, he’ll play the legendary civil rights activist Dr. Ralph Abernathy.
“I did a movie, First Reformed, that got some dramatic critical acclaim last year,” Cedric shared. “People were able to see me in a little more of a dramatic role than they’d ever seen me in before.”
“It’s about a very specific time, with certain people in the civil rights fight — that’s what I really liked about the script. It’s also about a very specific time, so it wasn’t a movie that was trying to be all-encompassing.”
